Welcome to Mrs. Highfield's 3rd Grade!
My name is Mrs. Highfield, and I have been teaching for the Durand Area Schools since 2002.
My husband Cory and I live in Laingsburg and we have two daughters and a son, Brenna, Aleigha, and Isaac.
We live out in the country and have our very own chickens and ducks! Our family enjoys many MSU outings together, we love our Spartans! In my spare time I enjoy as much time as I can with my husband and three kids.
Each year brings new students to share opportunities and learning experiences with and I am so excited to have your child in my class this year! I feel confident that we will have a terrific year, full of learning and fun.

School Supplies
⦁ 2 large glue sticks
⦁ 1 hardcover pencil box to keep supplies in
⦁ 1 box of colored pencils
⦁ 1 box of thin tip markers
⦁ 1 box of multi-colored crayons
⦁ 1 eraser
⦁ 2 packages of #2 sharpened pencils (please do not get the ones that are “fancy,” stick to just plain ones, the others jam up the pencil sharpener-thank you!)
⦁ 1 pair of scissors
⦁ 2 boxes of Kleenex
⦁ 2 packages/containers of “Wipes”-either baby wipes or disinfectant wipes
⦁ 2 packages of sealable bags, either quart or gallon size
⦁ 4 paper pocket folders (1 green, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow) *Please do not write your child’s name on these-thank you!
⦁ 4 one subject notebooks (1 green, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow) *Please do not write your child’s name on these-thank you!
⦁ 1 package of black fine point Expo markers
⦁ 1 highlighter
⦁ 1 ruler
⦁ 2 plastic two-pocket folders
